What You’ll Need:
- 1 large tiger poster
- Paper tails for each child
- 1 blind-fold

This game is super easy to set up and kids love it. All you need is a large tiger poster and paper tails for the number of kids that you’re hosting. Stand the kids in a line. Blind-fold the child who will be pinning the tail. After pinning, mark their tail by writing the child’s name. The child that pins closest to the spot, wins!
4. Jungle freeze Dance
What You’ll Need:
- Music player (any device with speakers)
- Open space (indoors or outdoors)
How to Play:
This game is one of my favorites to add to a jungle party for a high-energy game. It fits in perfectly with the jungle theme and kids find it super entertaining. The best part is that it’s very simple to set up because you don’t need to buy anything– all you need is a working phone with speakers and just some space! While the music plays all the kids must dance, spin and act like jungle animals and freeze immediately as the music randomly stops. Whoever moves, must sit out or they have to do a silly animal pose to get back into the game. The last kid to freeze wins!
5. Banana Peel Slip Game

What You’ll Need:
- Yellow paper or felt sheets
- Scissors
- Tape
- Jungle-themed music
How to Play:
Cut out 15-25 banana peel shapes depending on the number of children (using construction paper or felt). Caution: don’t use real banana peels due to slipping hazards. Scatter the banana shapes all over the play area and secure them with tape. Mark boundaries so that children remain in the play zone. Once the music starts, the kids must walk, run or jump around while dodging the peels. Make it fun like “Run like a cheetah” or “Jump like a monkey”. If anyone steps on a peel they’re out for that round. The winner is the last child remaining.
6. Jungle Statue Game
What You’ll Need:
- Open space,
- Jungle-themed music
How to Play:
Play jungle-themed music and have children dance, jump or move like jungle animals. While the music is playing, call out animal names like “Move like a monkey!”, “Stomp like an elephant!”, and “Sneak like a tiger!”. Randomly pause the music. Everyone must freeze like a statue. If anyone movies, laughs or falls over they’re out for that round until the last child that remains in the game.
7. Pass the Jungle Parcel

What You’ll Need:
- A jungle prize (main prize)
- Small jungle themed prizes (candy, stickers, mini toys)
-
Jungle-themed wrapping paper (solid colors, animal prints or stripes)
How to Play:
Wrap the prize in 8-10 layers of wrapping paper, hiding small prizes in between each layer so that every child gets something. To make it extra adventurous and fun, write a note on some layers with jungle dares like “Roar like a lion”. Sit children in a circle and play music while children pass the jungle parcel around. Randomly pause the music, the child who is holding the parcel will unwrap one layer– they collect their prize or do the dare. Continue the game until you reach the final layer. The child who unwraps the last layer wins the jungle prize.
8. Jungle dress up race

What You’ll Need:
- Animal ear headbands (lion, tiger, monkey, zebra)
- Tails (clip-on or elastic)
-
Felt animal masks
How to Play:
Set up a jungle animal dress-up station. Place a basket filled with jungle animal ear headbands, tails and masks. Each team must have the same number of items to keep things fair. Make 2-3 teams depending on how many children there are, ensuring each team has an equal number of kids. Now, mark lines for each team with tape or chalk and mark the start and finish lines with a marker or place cones. Each team must stand in a line within their designated rows. After they hear “Go”, the first member from each team must race to the dress-up station and put on one of each item and run back to their team. If they choose to be a lion, they must put on all lion accessories. If they wear mismatched accessories they lose points. They tag the next team member, remove all the accessories and hand it over to the next team member and the race continues. The winning team is the first to complete the race.
9. Crocodile River Jump

What You’ll Need:
- Blue fabric or tarp (to create the “river”)
How to Play:
Lay out your “river” on the floor in your play area. Start with a narrow width (1–2 feet) and increase the width of the artificial river with each round to make it more challenging. Choose one child to be the crocodile and stand in the river. Children must jump over the river without falling in or being caught by the crocodile. If they get caught or fall in they’re out for the round. The last child in the game wins.
10. Guess the Monkey’s Treats

What You’ll Need:
- A clear jar
- An assortment of candies (banana-shaped candy, gummy worms as snakes, frog-shaped gummies, chocolate kisses as animal droppings)
- A container for guesses
- Slips of paper and pencils
- Safari-themed game sign
How to Play:
Fill your jar with candy. Count the exact number and write it down. Place the jar on a table with jungle leaves and props, and a sign with the game name like “Guess the Monkey’s Treats!”. Set out paper slips, pencils and the container for guesses. Kids write down their guess on the slips of paper provided and drop them in the container. Announce the winner towards the end of the party to create suspense. The child with the closest guess wins the candy jar.
My final recommendation for cute game stations is to add safari themed signs to name each game. This adds to the excitement and visual appeal of the game even before the game begins!

If you had to pick just 3 games from this list, which ones would it be? I would love to know in the comments below!
